If you've ever wondered exactly where your state tax money goes - how much goes into each state department, how it is spent there, etc. - State Comptroller Kevin Lembo has just announced a new website that's a dream come true.
Whenever I've tried to chase down various aspects of the state budget in the past, it always seem like a matter of luck as to whether I found them or not. Now, using Open Connecticut, it should be much easier, and government spending should be far more transparent for all of us.
This is a significant step forward for Connecticut, and I am grateful to all those responsible for it.
