A Celebration of Hope

This Friday, May 4, Save the Children is having its fourth biennial Celebration of Hope to benefit the humanitarian agency’s early childhood programs in the U.S. and around the world. The Westport-based organization’s Greenwich and Westchester Leadership Councils will honor Andrea Collins, philanthropist and Save the Children Board Trustee, and Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education and media company.

The event will be hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, co-hosts of the  Fourth Hour of the Today Show. The special guest will be Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Connelly, Save The Children’s newest Artist Ambassador.
The evening event begins with a 6:30 cocktail reception, followed by dinner, entertainment, a live auction and program. Silent and live auctions will feature world-class items aimed at wine, food and travel enthusiasts, including dinner for 10 in the wine cellar of Mario Batali’s Babbo restaurant, two tickets to the London Olympics with accommodations and round-trip upper-class airfare on Virgin Atlantic; a golfer’s Pinehurst dream getaway for four and a two-week stay at a summer house with private beach at the Stockholm Archipelago.

For table and ticket information, contact Sarah McLoughlin, (203) 221-4181. The Hyatt Regency Greenwich, 1800 East Putnam Ave.
