It's Pretzel Day

It's Pretzel Day

Everyday offers a reason to celebrate but today is a banner day—it’s National Pretzel Day, and Stanley Hudson won’t be the only one standing in line for a free twist of heavenly dough this year. To celebrate, pretzel companies around the country are handing out free samples of the ancient snack food invented by monks.

In Connecticut, Pretzelmaker, a national company with shops based primarily at shopping malls, offers a freshly baked soft pretzel to anyone who comes in today and tells a joke. But if you can’t think of one, just say the words, “National Pretzel Day,” and you’re in.

There are 15 stores around Connecticut. For locations, visit
