Cookbook Author Comes to Mystic
Jean Kerr, author of Mystic Seafood: Great Recipes, History, and Seafaring Lore from Mystic Seaport (Globe Pequot), will be at the Seaport’s museum store talking about summer seafood ideas and signing copies this Friday from 1 to 2. Kerr, a former Yalie, wrote the top-selling book in 2007, but hasn’t strayed far from her subject since then: She’s now editor-in-chief at Northeast Flavor, a fine quarterly magazine, based in Kittery, Maine, that focusses on the food, chefs/restaurants, recipes and traditions of New England.
