Come One, Come All to Sun WineFest 2012!
Come one, come all! One of the year’s biggest events for foodies from all over Connecticut and beyond is happening this weekend. The annual Sun WineFest takes place Jan. 27-29 at Mohegan Sun, featuring many of the biggest, boldest face names in the culinary world. To name a few: Bobby Flay, Todd English, Jasper White, Robert Irvine, Ben Ford, Govind Armstrong, Betty Fraser, Marc Forgione, Emily Luchetti, Jacques Torres and Donatella Arpaia. Makers of wine, spirits and beer will also be on hand. Chefs Flay, Irvine, English, Arpaia and Forgione will participate in live demonstrations at the Grand Tasting on Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 5. And the much-anticipated Celebrity Chef Dine Around, presented by Moët & Chandon Saturday night at 8, will be a dazzling epicurean feast prepared by the full lineup of celebrity chefs. For dessert, there will be spectacular displays by Jacques Torres, Emily Luchetti and Mohegan Sun’s own executive pastry chef Lynn Mansel (creator of the Guinness Book of World Records biggest wedding cake ever), along with fine Hennessy Cognacs.
