Just in time for the holiday shopping season comes news of a lively fall schedule at New Canaan's L'Armoire, the exclusive boutique created by fashionista par excellence Diane Roth. On Oct. 10, the store will open an in-store boutique featuring the collection of New York accessory and jewelry designer Cynthia Rose, showcasing her signature "elegance with an edge." Worn by Angie Harmon and Sarah Jessica Parker, her works are inspired by the art of collage, featuring fabrics and findings culled from flea markets and couture houses around the world. This new shop will be the first to showcase her line of one-of-a-kind creations in its entirety under one roof, and it will also offer custom design services to those who want to optimize their Rose-enhanced "look."
Meanwhile, the Swarovski boutique at Uncasville's Mohegan Sun has undergone a fashion upgrade of its own. Next week, it will reopen as a 1,187-square-foot space displaying Swarovski's "Crystal Forest" retail design concept, created in collaboration with award-winning designer Tokujin Yoshioka. It's the first of Connecticut's five Swarovski boutiques to boast this new look—which debuted in 2009 on the Magnificent Mile of Chicago's Michigan Avenue—and will feature high ceilings adorned with Chrysalis chandeliers (as well as several other crystal installations, like a large crystal strand column with LED lighting that can be programmed to change colors), textured walls with reflective white prisms and eye-catching, floating window boxes.
Happy spending!
