Stowell Tale

Check out this likable Q & A on CTnow.com with Berlin native Austin Stowell, who makes his movie debut this weekend in Dolphin Tale. Based on a true story, Tale's heavyweight cast also includes Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd, Kris Kristofferson, Frances Sternhagen and Stamford resident Harry Connick Jr. Playing Kyle Connellan, cousin of the lead character Sawyer Nelson (Nathan Gamble), Stowell is the human counterpart to the damaged dolphin at the heart of the family saga—a former champion swimmer who has returned home disabled from a brief stint in the Army.

Known for his recurring role as Jesse in the ABC Family TV series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," Stowell has a second film in the can, coming to theaters next year: AWOL, in which he again plays a military recruit—this time, a soldier in Vietnam.

You can meet him in person tonight (9/23) at Rave Berlin 12 6-10 p.m. He'll be signing posters prior to the 7:15 and 7:35 screenings of Tale, introduce both shows, then hold an autograph signing and Q&A after the 7:35 show.
