Artspace's City-Wide Open Studios

Artspace's City-Wide Open Studios

Artspace’s City-Wide Open Studios celebrates its 15th anniversary over three consecutive weekends Oct. 5-22. Artists in New Haven and surrounding towns open their studios to the public and also exhibit work at the New Haven Register building (as newspaper trucks act as mobile studios). Meet the artists at the opening reception at Artspace on Oct. 5  from 5 to 8:00.

Be sure to see the hub exhibition that features one work by each of the CWOS participating artists as well as "The Play House," a multi-faceted installation in the Lot that acts as a studio to artists-in-residence by day and turns into a four-sided video installation by night. And after the CWOS opening reception, check out the surrounding streets of the Ninth Square, which will be illuminated by dazzling light installations as part of the second annual LAMP (Light Artists Making Places).

The October 5 issue of the New Haven Register includes the Official Map & Guide as a special insert, or pick up a tour map at Artspace at 50 Orange St., New Haven; guided tours are also available.
