The Captains of Comedy Play Norwalk
Looking for a good belly laugh this weekend? If so, consider New York City's Captains of Comedy a triple-threat. They'll be playing Norwalk City Hall's Concert Hall Saturday night in a benefit for the Brien McMahon High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC). A program composed of both elective courses and extracurricular activities, NJROTC is a student-run organization that models a naval military unit—offering its participants training in naval science and history, seamanship, leadership, health, orienteering, and future career planning (though it's not a military organization or affiliated with the U.S. armed services). Through demonstrated performance, students earn leadership roles in the unit, while making new friends, learning self-discipline and serving their community.
The Captains of Comedy are:
World-traveling monologuist and veteran of "Last Comic Standing," "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and "Star Search" Moody McCarthy;
Creator and host of critically acclaimed iTunes podcast "The New York City Crime Report" Pat Dixon; and
New York City comedy-club regular and movie voice actor (Ice Age: The Meltdown, Robots) Brian Scott McFadden.
The evening begins with cocktails at 6:30; show at 8. Tickets $35. For more information and to buy tickets, visit captains of comedy.com.
