4th of July Fireworks!
In celebration of Independence Day, fireworks displays will illuminate the night skies across Connecticut. Here’s a list of some of the offerings:

SIMSBURY July 1 at 7:30 at the Hartford Symphony Orchestra’s Talcott Mountain Music Festival, the orchestra’s annual summer series held outdoors at the Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows. “Celebrate America” features music by American composers including John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever.” Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” accompanied by a grand finale of fireworks, closes the concert. WESTPORT July 1 at 9:15 p.m. off Compo Beach. Rain date July 5. Fireworks tickets are required and available at the Westport Parks and Recreation office during business hours or at Police Headquarters any time. All tickets must be purchased in advance.
