New Morning Market in Woodbury is pulling out all the stops for its annual Earth Day Celebration "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" on April 21 from 11 to 4 in the town’s Hollow Park. The market’s first humble festival took place 17 years ago in the store’s parking lot. Nowadays, the party attracts more than 5,000 revelers. The event is sponsored by the Woodbury Business and Economic Development Committee.
The fun includes live music, purveyors of natural and organic products, education and solutions for a healthier planet, health practitioners, natural and organic foods and beverages, activities for kids and more. Be sure to visit the Bantam Fuel Kids Tent and vote for your favorite Earth Day-themed posters created by Woodbury Middle School students.
During the celebration, Community Services Council of Woodbury, also known as the Food Pantry, will be accepting donations of non-perishable foods, and Children To Children, a non-profit organization, will be collecting gently-used children’s clothing and shoes to distribute to children in need.
Admission is free.
