A Delicious Italian Feast: New Haven’s Basta Trattoria at 10 (Sister Spot Claire's Corner Copia in 40th Year)

Basta Trattoria on Chapel Street in New Haven, which opened on New Year’s Eve in 2004, offers delicious food that’s “authentic Italian with a modern twist.” It's also the sister restaurant of the legendary Claire's Corner Copia next door, which began its 40th year this past September. At the helm of both is the incomparable Claire Criscuolo.

‘Donut Showdown’ Winner Dottie’s Diner Open in New Woodbury Location

A delicious, iconic diner in Connecticut's semi-official antiques 'capital', Woodbury, has moved—almost literally across the street. Dottie's Diner, which has long been a beloved breakfast and lunch haven for folks in Litchfield County, and gained renowned when owner Dorothy “Dorie” Sperry won the Season 2 'Zombies' competition on the Cooking Channel's "Donut Showdown," opened in its new location on Friday, Dec. 12.
