Major Explosion Destroys Houses in North Stamford, Reports Say

The Stamford Advocate and other media are reporting that a major explosion, possibly involving a propane tank, has destroyed at least two houses in North Stamford this afternoon (Sept. 17)

According to the Advocate, the initial call came in at 305 Webbs Hill Road and other houses in the area are on fire.

A WTNH News story says Webbs Hill Road is north of the Merritt Parkway.

Emergency responders are on the scene.

News outlets have picked up the photo from the scene posted on Twitter by Colin Maclennan.
