Senate President Don Williams Won't Seek Re-Election

State Senate President Don Williams, D-Brooklyn, announced today he will not seek re-election. Williams has served in the state senate since 1993, and as senate president since 2004.  “After serving 10 years as President Pro Tempore of the State Senate, I look forward to pursuing other challenges at the end of this term,” Williams said in a press release. “It has been a great privilege and honor to serve the people of our state and my constituents in the great northeastern corner of Connecticut.
