Republican Gubernatorial Candidates to Square Off in Debate Sunday
The first debate of the campaign season is set for next Sunday, when five Republican gubernatorial candidates will face off.
The two-hour debate is being hosted by the Brookfield Republican Town Committee at 4p.m. on Feb. 16 at Brookfield High School.
Five journalists chosen by a lottery will act as a panel to ask questions. It was not immediately clear if all candidates have accepted the invitation to attend the debate. Invited candidates include former U.S. Ambassador Tom Foley, State Sens. Toni Boucher and John McKinney, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton and Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti.
Danbury attorney and former Speaker of the state’s House of Representatives Fran Collins will moderate the debate.Republican Gubernatorial Candidates to Square Off in Debate Sunday
