Connecticut Elections 2013 Balance of Power Map: Which Party Controls Which Cities and Towns

The following map shows the balance of power in municipal government leadership between Democrats and Republicans. 

The light blue is a Democratic hold, bright blue is a Democratic pick-up. Light red is a Republican hold and bright red is a Republican pick-up. If a town is lightly shaded in blue it has a Democratic CEO but did not have an election. If lightly shaded red, CEO is Republican and there was no election. Towns shaded in yellow did not have information posted to the Secretary of State's website. Towns shaded in purple had an election where a third-party or unnafiliated party retained power.
