22 Municipalities in Connecticut Hold Primaries Today

22 Municipalities in Connecticut Hold Primaries Today

It’s primary day in Connecticut for 22 municipalities.

Voters will pick their choice for Republican and Democratic representatives for the general election for a slew of different offices where the party nomination is contested.

While plenty of towns have listed primaries for offices like town clerk and town council, a few have primaries for the city and town’s top spot. Those areas with a primary for mayor and first selectman include Bethel, East Haven, Killingworth, New Haven, Norwalk, Norwich, Stratford, Stamford, Torrington, West Haven and Woodbury. Haddam and Stamford are the only municipalities with a primary for both parties.

Polls are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
