Star On The Web Rewards Talent at Quarterly Winners Show at The Reserve
For the past three months, talented Connecticut residents have been uploading 90-second videos of themselves to Star On The Web, the online talent competition launched in April.
The public has made its choices by viewing the videos and selecting monthly winners in the singers, musicians and comedians categories.
Now it’s up to the site’s celebrity judges, musician Rex Fowler of the folk/rock duo Aztec Two-Step (right), AJ of WPLR and the Chaz & AJ Show (below) and opera and Broadway performer Terry Eldh (far below), to shrink the pool even further.
On Monday, July 21, the nine monthly winners will get the opportunity to perform onstage at The Reserve in Meriden as part of the Star On The Web Quarterly Winners Show. The judges will select three performers who will be named quarterly winners and advance to the next phase.
The ultimate prize is a management contract worth $10,000 or more provided by promotional sponsor ArMuEnt, a talent management division of Digimed Group in Darien.
“We’re planning a very exciting show,” says Founder and Star On The Web CEO Stephen Nevard, Sr. “It’s going to have all the excitement and drama of shows like The Voice, with video segments, interviews with the performers and then the quarterly winners revealed at the very end.”
The Star On The Web Quarterly Winners Show will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 at the door but seats can be reserved in advance at starontheweb.com.
Video uploads for the July competition have already been submitted and can be voted on through the end of the month. The categories for this next phase of the competition are singers, musicians, bands, comedians, dancers and variety performers.
